Peugeot Citroen cars
Tens of thousands of Peugeot and Citroen cars are to be recalled following concerns over their safety.
Peugeot Citroen, Europe’s second-biggest carmaker, will recall two models – the Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1.
The cars are made in the same Czech plant used by Toyota, which has recalled millions of cars with faulty pedals worldwide. Peugeot Citroen said “under 100,000″ cars will be recalled. It did not say when the recall would begin, or how many cars in the UK would be affected.
Toyota is recalling up to 1.8 million cars across Europe, including about 220,000 in the UK, following an accelerator problem.
